I may be early, but here's a list of my favorite winter songs. (Most of which are related to Christmas.)
Unlike my Autumn list, there are bound to be some songs on here that are repeats from last year, but that just means they're so good that they withstand the test of time!
Walking in the air [link] (this particular cover is done by Chloe Agnew) for something eerie and magical.
Two of Ruth Moody's songs:
1. Cold Outside [link] For something calm
2. Winter Waltz [link] Ditto.
Three of Straight No Chaser's songs:
1. Christmas Can-Can [link] for ample amounts of hilarity!
2. Who Spiked the Eggnog [link] for a fun 'whodunit' song
3. Hey Santa [link] for something jazzy and sexy.
Four of the Barenaked Ladies' songs:
1. Jingle Bells [link] for a fun take on a classic Xmas carol.
2. Footprints [link] for something calm but hopeful
3. The Snowman's song [link] for a sad winter song (sorry, this was the only version I could find)
4. Elf's Lament [link] for something funny with a bit of snark
The Barenaked Ladies also have a couple Hanukkah songs, for those of you who celebrate it.
Three songs by Sarah McLachlan:
1. River [link] for something sad
2. Wintersong [link] for something dreamy
3. Song for a Winter's Night [link] ditto.
Celtic Carol by one of my favorite ladies, Lindsey Stirling [link] for something fun and spirited.
Two Amy Grant songs:
A Christmas to Remember [link] for something festive.
Breath of Heaven [link] for something tear-jerking.
...Actually, there's a whole playlist included in the second link, so check out her stuff at your leisure!
The Christmas Shoes (not sure who the singer is) [link] for something that will probably make you cry.
The Piano Guys Christmas playlist:
[link] These guys are just generally awesome!
February Song [link] by Josh Groban, depending on whether or not you think February is a part of winter.
This is already a long list, but I'll add more when I think of them.

Welcome to the largest collection of my artwork that exists on the internet! For the love of all that's holy please don't venture back into the mid-2000s, I was a cringey teenager trying to figure out what I wanted to create. Now I'm a cringey adult who has a better idea of what I want to create but with questionably outdated methods.
If you've followed me for a while, you've probably noticed that I've given in and paid to change my username. Avalon620, created on a whim in 2007, is no more! I now go by my preferred artist name in some vain attempt to be professional.
I don't anticipate that I'll be any more active on Deviantart than I have
Why I've Gone Quiet
I find that I'm growing out of DeviantArt. :( I joined way back in 2007 and it was a blast! Really, DA was my first form of social media, before I had Facebook and Tumblr and Instagram, etc. It was a great place to talk to my friends and submit my silly little drawings.
I can never really leave DA all together, out of loyalty and nostalgia, but I will say that DA has changed for me. I'm not twelve anymore, and I've been getting a little discouraged with this site.
I'll still be around! There are too many great artists that I want to keep up with. I'll still submit art whenever it comes about, too! I just won't be online as consistently as I
Time to Purge (Again)
I've been on Deviantart for eight years, I have submitted 2,918 pieces, have over 41,000 pageviews, and yet to this day, the most popular thing I've upoloaded....is a "Heroes vs. Villains" meme.
I'm not sure if I should be proud, disappointed or indifferent.
On a separate note, I am purging my writing folder. All my dumb, manic, hyper-active stories that I wrote when I was eleven have got to go.
I've become a jaded, bitter old woman through these last few years on DA. ;p
CALLING ALL STORYTELLERS (and everyone else)
Hello everyone!
I am looking for short, true stories to turn into a 1-3 panel cartoon. Do you or anyone you know have a funny, heartwarming or memorable story to tell? If so, please message me! I will include the story (depending on its length) in the description of the comic once I upload it.
Basically, I'm doing an art project that involves other people with interesting stories. I create an image to go along with that story, then upload it to various social media sites. The story providers are of course welcome to share as well. Shorter stories are preferable, I don't need a piece of flawless creative nonfiction, all I need are the essent
